Reflexology works on the principle that there are reflex zones in the hands and feet that correspond to different body parts, organs and glands. Reflexology is a unique way of using the thumbs and fingers on these reflex areas.
“Well trained reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe. Reflexology is a very individual treatment which is tailored to you as a whole person, taking into account both physical and non-physical factors that might be affecting your wellbeing. Some people find it works for them – some don’t. The best way to find out is to try it!” –Association of Reflexologists

“I visited Elaine last week for reflexology and had a lovely relaxing session with her. After a very lazy and inactive Christmas I was suffering from sciatica down my left leg, which Elaine picked up on immediately. I was quite sceptical when she said that the reflexology could help with this. It was only later that evening (the time when I am most inactive and therefore in the most discomfort) that I realised that the pain had completely gone. A week later it has still not returned. I would definitely recommend trying this treatment to anyone who is doubtful about it’s effectiveness.” – Julie S, Burnley
